Editorial Standards
The rules we use to source, compare, attribute, correct, and maintain practical cellular IoT guidance.
Purpose and scope
GlobalIoT.com publishes educational guidance and planning tools for teams evaluating cellular IoT deployments. Our content is not a substitute for operator confirmation, device testing, legal advice, or a deployment-specific technical assessment.
Ownership and commercial context
GlobalIoT.com is owned and operated by Atomic Mobile, a connectivity provider. We do not present the site as an independent analyst firm. Commercial calls to action may lead to Atomic Mobile services. That relationship can shape the subjects we cover, so readers should weigh our guidance alongside primary documentation and their own requirements.
Sourcing and verification
For standards, regulation, network changes, and product capabilities, we prefer the closest available primary source: standards bodies, regulators, network operators, and official vendor documentation. Sources shown on a page identify the material used for specific factual claims; a citation does not mean the source endorses our interpretation.
When only a secondary source is available, it should be identified as such. Time-sensitive statements should include an update or verification date. We distinguish announced plans from completed events and avoid turning a target date into a guarantee.
Comparisons and recommendations
We compare technologies and approaches against stated decision factors such as coverage, power use, module support, mobility, operational control, lifecycle, and cost structure. We aim to describe meaningful trade-offs, not declare a universal winner. A recommendation should state the scenario and assumptions that make it reasonable.
Unless a page explicitly links to a reproducible dataset or test protocol, our comparisons are explanatory syntheses of cited material—not original benchmark research, market-wide testing, or statistically representative surveys. Provider inclusion is not evidence that every provider was evaluated, and list order is not a ranking unless we publish the ranking method.
Tools and structured data
Interactive outputs are estimates or filtered reference records, not deployment guarantees. Our methodology documents the data calculator formula and limitations and the network sunset source rules and limitations.
The IoT market tracker methodology explains its Atomic JSON integration, saved snapshots, and date meanings. Synchronization is currently off; a displayed record or timestamp is not evidence of a live update or independent verification.
Bylines and review labels
A byline is displayed only when an author has been identified. A “Reviewed by” label is displayed only when a reviewer has actually been identified for that page; its absence must not be read as a completed review. Roles and profile links are shown only when supplied, and we do not generate empty contributor profiles.
Corrections and updates
Significant factual changes should update the page’s “Updated” date. Minor wording or formatting edits may not. If we learn that a material statement is wrong or misleading, we aim to correct the page and its supporting source where applicable. Readers can report a suspected error through our contact page.
Limits
Network availability, roaming, radio performance, billing, certification, and device compatibility vary by market, operator, plan, hardware, firmware, and deployment conditions. Mention of a technology, operator, or country does not guarantee availability, compatibility, service life, or uptime for a specific deployment.
